Officers
Dear KAPS members and friends,
I am pleased to announce the new KAPS officers for 2008-2009. I am personally very excited because, six years ago, many of these folks were students whom we mentored as part of our annual KAPS Career Forum event at UC Berkeley. We have been very fortunate to see our efforts at reaching out to the next generation bear fruit, and it is energizing to witness these young professionals carry on our legacy!
I want to thank you for your support during my tenure as President of KAPS, and I look forward to your continued involvement with KAPS. If you are interested in becoming a more active contributor, please contact Andrew at andrewdko@gmail.com.
Best,
Taejung Kim
President, 2007-2008

Andrew Dae-Hyun Ko is a Marketing Manager with Lincoln Financial Advisors, a high-end financial planning company. He graduated from UC-Berkeley (Go Bears!) as a Mechanical Engineering major, but decided he was more interested in pursuing a career in financial planning and marketing.
Andrew was born in upstate New York and lived in the East Coast until he was ten. He lived in Singapore, arguably the cleanest and most efficient country in the world, for two and a half years before graduating from Cupertino High School, home of the Pioneers.
While attending UC-Berkeley, Andrew spent two years learning the Korean language and immersing himself in Korean-American culture. He graduated from Cupertino High School in 2002 and went on to UC Berkeley where he majored in Business Administration. He recently graduated in May 2006, and now currently resides in Richmond.

Community Services- Brian Cho

Brian was born in Seoul in 1985 and lived there until the age of 11. He then moved to LA and lived there until 08 when he accepted a job offer in SF. Brian originally started his professional career in the management consulting industry as an analyst for Deloitte Consulting. There he quickly realized (9 months) that he was bored and wanted to do something that he was actually passionate about. So he took a chance and left for a job offer with a promise for better things to comeā¦
At a tender age of 22, Brian became youngest associate producer for Ubisoft Entertainment. As a kid growing up in a conservative Korean family, he was often scolded by adults that videogames would turn him into a guh ji (a bum)! Fortunately, Brian is faring well for a bum, loves his job, and lives happily in downtown SF.
Brian graduated from UC Irvine in 07 with Magna Cum Laude in Management & Economics. He was actively involved on campus through multiple professional organizations most notably Alpha Kappa Psi co-ed business fraternity holding multiple e-board positions in a span of 3 years. He'll be attending Stanford in fall of 08 as a part-time student to pursue a SCPM designation and aims to get into one of top 5 MBA programs in the nation.
Brian loves anything related to sports (basketball especially), going to the gym, meeting new people, reading, happy hours, green organizations, community service, and traveling abroad during his spare time. He looks forward to promoting Korean American involvement within the community through the community service chair position.
